You’ve bookmarked a dozen guides, watched a few tutorials, and you’re still not sure where to begin — WordPress or something else? Do you need to learn to code? How I learned to create a no-code website with WordPress ?
Four years ago, I wanted to start a blog — no big master plan, just a goal. The first wall I hit was the website itself: I had no coding knowledge, and building a site felt like a completely different skill from writing.
So I researched for six months, studying no-code website options through YouTube tutorials and paid courses, before landing on WordPress as the best platform for beginners who want full control without touching code.
After six months of late nights, YouTube tutorials, and three unfinished courses, I hit publish on my first WordPress website. It wasn’t polished — the fonts clashed, the images were too big, nothing about it looked ‘PROFESSIONAL.’ But I sat there staring at that live URL, refreshing it like it might disappear, because I’d just turned zero coding knowledge into something real, working, and mine.

That first win opened a door. I went deeper into WordPress SEO, site speed, and security, then started applying it beyond my own blog — for local businesses, then a friend’s startup. One project turned into several.

Writing was its own hurdle. My first blog post was genuinely hard to publish — a blank editor is intimidating in a completely different way than a blank website. But I kept a routine: writing about the tools, pain points, and lessons I was living through in real time.
Every stage brought a new question. Once content was live, the next one was distribution — which sent me deep into Pinterest and LinkedIn, alongside building an email list from day one, because traffic without a real audience doesn’t mean much.
